Death of a Hair Salon
Goliathus
Synopsis
My beautiful Hair Salon in the heart of the Marais definitely closed its doors in October 2019.
Other public utility businesses have been also disappearing in my neighbourhood this past years.
What can I do about it ?
I decided to write a minuscule story about it, with my humble English, to not forget.

This story is published on page on Medium.
Read it, like it, share it, so that we never forget the life and death of a beloved Hair Salon named Hair du Temple.

Moment of eternity
For more than 10 years, it is Anne who has cut my hair and often anticipated my desires.
Cut, shampoo and hairstyle usually takes between 45 minutes and one hour and costs only 28€.
I find this price reasonable.
Because Anne does not simply propose a “way of arranging, carving or modeling my hair in order to bring it a structure to my liking”; she offers altogether a respite in the vain agitation of our city, a moment of intense conviviality, information from an insider about the small world around, and last but not the least, she gives me a new face!
I enjoy this little “moment of eternity”, which transforms me both physically and mentally.
After each appointment, I feel ready to face the rest of the day, a week, a whole month. This is the “regain of confidence hair cut”!
As if two movable articulated blades, smooth-edged or with micro-teeth, could lighten and give shape to more than a head of hair, to my nebulosity, and to unravel a meta-capillary entanglement, all my complexity. Yes, all that in a simple hair cut!
